Valais & Syrah: Two Vintners – Two Terroirs
Thursday, December 3, 2026
A double-vertical Syrah tasting from the Denis Mercier and Simon Maye estates is presented, covering nearly twenty years of production, from the 2000s to the 2010s.
The event highlights the different expressions of this emblematic Valais grape variety through a selection of vintages tasted side by side.
This gathering explores the influence of terroirs, viticultural practices, and climatic evolution on the style of the wines, as well as generational transitions within the two estates. A total of twelve wines will be presented, offering a comparative perspective on their evolution over time.
Open to all, this tasting invites participants to discover the history and diversity of Valais Syrah in a convivial setting, followed by a moment of exchange over a light meal.
