About the winery
Chamoson's vineyards are dominated by the steep slopes of the Haut-de-Cry mountain range. Their 10 ha vineyard lies on an alluvial cone with gravelly limestone soil. Their Moette vineyard is terraced on the Ardon hillside, with broken limestone soils overlooking the Rhône valley.
Since 1948, when Simon Maye founded the winery, the family has maintained a strong affection for the wines, the land and the selection of grape varieties. To guarantee the quality and typicity of their wines, the soil is worked with respect.
Their wine is based on an ethical conviction that aims to preserve their terroir and appellation. Wine is a story between man, soil and climate. They constantly reflect and progress in line with these principles, and constantly seek to promote great wines.
