Leimera Weine - by Ruffiner Jean-Luc - Visp

About the winery

Leimera Weine’s wines are produced from a small plot of vines in St. German. The grapes are cultivated with great attention to detail and are vinified by the winegrowers themselves.

It all began with their grandfather, who used to tend to large swathes of vines, generating a considerable yield. Over time, the area has been reduced to the parcels of land in Leimera.

The winery advocates the responsible use of pesticides. Their mantra is "As much as necessary, as little as possible". For this reason, they took the decision many years ago to stop using herbicides when working the land. The soil is tilled by hand and sown with low-lying plants adapted to the region.

They aim to create wines that offer unique taste experiences. Each bottle that leaves their winery is the fruit of their hard work, passion and deep understanding of the art of winemaking. Every sip tells the story of the land where their vines grow.
