About the winery
The Adrian & Diego Mathier winemaking estate has been in the family for generations. Diego—the youngest son—and his wife, Nadia, have run the winery as a quality-oriented family business since 2001, and couple’s five daughters are keen to maintain this successful approach.
Over the years, the Mathier family’s property has expanded to comprise around 40 hectares of exceptional vineyards. Winemaking has evolved over the years, but working these vines still requires a lot of manual labour despite all the technical facilities available.
"For years now, we have consistently been awarded the highest distinction for our work by Vitiswiss (Swiss Association for Sustainable Development in Viticulture), whose objectives include the production of healthy grapes, the preservation of landscapes and biodiversity, and the conservation and promotion of natural resources and energy."
