Cave du Verseau - Stéphane Clavien - Sierre

About the winery

La Cave du Verseau is above all a family business. After studying oenology and winemaking at the School of Oenology and Viticulture in Changins, Stéphane Clavien took over his father's cellar in 1989. In 1992, his wife Wil joined him to take care of sales and administration. They currently work about 4 hectares of vines in Sierre, Miège and Veyras.

La Cave du Verseau has made considerable developments in barrel ageing in recent years. Combined with the primary aromas of the grape and the secondary aromas created by fermentation, the tertiary aromas developed by the wood (vanilla scents) endow the wines with an exceptional complexity and richness that are refined and expanded over time. Our wines are not chaptalised, ullaged or cut. They come from plots which they operate themselves in integrated production, respecting the environment.
