Domaines Rouvinez - Sierre
About the winery
The history of Domaines Rouvinez began in 1945 on the Colline de Géronde in Sierre, when Chrétien and Marcelline Rouvinez settled there. Two years later, their son Bernard and Hermine founded the family winery, marking the start of a journey that has now spanned four generations.
In 1978, Jean-Bernard and Dominique took over the running of the business and helped shape the house’s modern identity. Their pioneering spirit was particularly evident in 1983 with the creation of Tourmentin, the first Valais blend to be aged entirely in barriques.
Over the decades, Domaines Rouvinez has continued to grow through the acquisition of new estates, the creation of iconic cuvées such as Cœur de Domaines in 2009, the full integration of the fourth generation in 2013, and the launch of Nez Noir, the family’s first organic wine, in 2019.
Today, Domaines Rouvinez remains committed to the same ambition: to reveal the richness of the Valais terroirs through authentic, sophisticated wines that are deeply rooted in their terroir.

NEZ Noir
Anxious to preserve their estates and constantly apply the most advanced cultivation methods, the Rouvinez family began the transition to organic viticulture several years ago. In 2019, they are launching NEZ NOIR, a name inspired by their flock of sheep of the same name.
