About the winery
Rives du Bisse was founded by Gaby Delaloye in 1945. A teacher by profession, son of a winegrower, passionate about vines and wine, he wasted no time in creating and developing his new direction as a winegrower and winemaker. Over the years, as his business grew, he gave up his teaching activities. Jean-Pierre, son of Gaby, assisted his father in the administrative work and in the cellar in 1963, while the latter continued his activity in the wine sector. Today, the continuation of the cellar is assured by the third and fourth generations.
Jean-Gabriel, son of Jean-Pierre, is responsible for the wine and his daughter, Pascale, has taken over administrative and sales. As for the winemaking and cellar tasks, the latter is managed by Mathias, Jean-Gabriel’s son.
It is the close collaboration between the generations that makes it possible to ensure high quality products that respect the environment. The entire estate is operated according to the criteria of integrated production (Vinatura). Transformed into a public limited company in 1994, it remains an entirely family-run business.
