Marx Weine - Brig

About the winery

His father, Alois Marx (*1924, 2013), also cultivated several plots of vines in the lower Visp valley and introduced him to the winemaking profession at a young age. It didn’t take long for Rolf Marx to get bitten by the same bug. At 18 he bought his first plot of land, and it wouldn’t be the last. Now, their small family business cultivates two hectares planted with various grape varieties.

Much like his father before him, he has passed on his passion for the vine to his four children and Rosemarie, his wife. Their eldest daughter, Florence (*1990), has followed in her father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, training as a winegrower and oenologist. She has already been actively contributing to the small business for several years.

Their selection ranges from dry white wine to red wine aged in oak casks, as well as a sparkling wine produced in-house. And if you’re looking for the perfect dessert wine, your search ends here!
