Les Fils de René Favre - John et Mike Favre - Chamoson

About the winery

Owner-winemakers for three generations, the Favre family cultivates an area of 8 hectares of vines to produce around 50,000 bottles per year. All their plots are in the Chamoson municipality.

It all started with René Favre, who attended the School of Agriculture in 1946. This line of business was finally becoming more professional. Then the next generation came along. Jean-Charles (known as John) followed in his father’s footsteps by attending the Châteauneuf School of Agriculture before becoming part of the new wave of people trained at the School of Viticulture and Oenology in Changins. After a stint at Sion College, Mike returned to the land after attending the Changins School.

Today, after completing his degree at the Changins engineering school like his father, Jonathan (known as Duke), represents the third generation and is involved in the management of the family estate.
