Domaine de la Rameau - Chamoson

About the winery

David Carruzzo continued the work of his father, and in 2010 produced the first vintage of Domaine de la Rameau. Aware of the potential of the extraordinary terroir of Chamoson, he did not hesitate to embark on the adventure. Coming from the medical field and passionate about wine, he is self-taught and surrounds himself with the skills of his friends and wine professionals.

The diversity of the terroir, micro-climates and grape varieties produce results. Indeed, from the desire to showcase the Valais terroir in all its diversity and complexity, it made sense to bring together the estate's different grape varieties in order to express in the most simple way the assets of this exceptional terroir in the heart of the Alps in the Upper Rhone Valley.

Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc; all these grape varieties are blended in proportions that depend on the vintage. The emphasis is really on the expression of the terroir and the vintage.
