La Cinquième Saison - Martigny
About the winery
Since 1987, the cellar which carried the name of its founder, Alexis Jacquérioz, has been producing wines with care, enhancing the characteristics of the grape varieties and the terroirs. They own 5 hectares of vines and work with around thirty suppliers who share their passion for quality.
In 2006, after 9 years spent working with Alexis Jacquérioz, Michael Herminjard took over. The cellar migrated from the foot of the Château de la Bâtiaz where it originated, to rue du Châble-Bet. This is where their wines are now aged and bottled. Five ranges make up a rich and varied offer that is likely to appeal to all palates. The Laura Chaplin selection is dedicated to the most demanding tastes.
In 2017, on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the cellar was renamed La Cinquième Saison, after its eponymous vintage which is iconic in itself. The tasting area can accommodate around thirty people in a friendly setting. The whole team, led by Michael Herminjard, with the cooperation of oenologist Maurice Combe and cellar master David Neury, looks forward to your visit.
