La Cave A Polyte SA - Jacques Disner - Chamoson

About the winery

An imposing presence, sharp words and strong convictions – Jacques Disner doesn’t sit on the fence. He is always ready to stand up and protect the status of the winegrower-producer and ensure that those who take it on can make a decent living.

Heir to the great veterans who defended the profession, he is dedicated to passing on his knowledge to younger generations, which he does at the Valais School of Agriculture.

Jacques Disner manages a small vineyard of two and a half hectares, which he took over from his grandfather, Julien, known as Polyte. Jacques, who has "always been immersed in the atmosphere of the winery", believes that 98% of wine quality is determined by the vines. He produces around 20 dry and vibrant wines made from grapes grown using ecofriendly techniques and crafted according to traditional methods. Much like him, his wines are full of character. Apparently, some of them even do as they please. A wonderful promise of surprises, vintage after vintage.
