Domaine des Roses - Jo Gaudard - Leytron

About the winery

Jo Gaudard produces a dozen wines by favouring native grape varieties such as Petite Arvine, Cornalin and of course Humagnes Blanc and Humagnes Rouge, which are emblematic grape varieties in Leytron. The cellar is located in the centre of the village in a winegrower's building constructed by Jo Gaudard's grandfather in 1938. They are celebrating their 35th vintage in 2020, with the unwavering help of their loyal employee Antonio. They showcase their wines through traditional winemaking and respect for the terroir. Their wines thereby express all their typicality and authenticity with freshness and fruitiness.

Surrounded by roses, the estate was completely rebuilt in the early 1990s to make room for a dozen different grape varieties. Concerned about the environment and the richness of the heritage, their company has participated in the PER programme (which stands for required ecological provisions) since its creation, and they promote biodiversity on their land. Today, the entire estate is undergoing conversion to organic methods.
