About the winery
A winemaker for 34 years. Originally from Flanthey, Daniel Nanchen was born and raised among vineyards. The cellar, part of his childhood home, is located at the heart of the Valençon wine estate in Flanthey.
He worked there during the first part of his life with his parents and five brothers. At the same time, he devoted himself to watchmaking. It is this activity that essentially punctuated his daily life to begin with. Over the years, he gradually returned to the family business, before devoting himself fully to the cellar in 2006.
Drawing upon the experience of these two crafts, he endeavours to make wine a traditional and exceptional product, just like watchmaking. Because even though the seasons pass, his tastes determine that thoroughness, passion and authenticity remain values that are important to him.
