Luisier Vin - Saillon
About the winery
At the age of 18, Clément Luisier, then in the 2nd year of his Federal Certificate of Proficiency as a winegrower, decided to open his own cellar by making wine from the grapes of his winegrower parents. It was a huge success, which is why the following year he expanded his range of wines with 8 benchmarks and tripled production (about 10,500 bottles). In 2020, production also increased, and in parallel, he finished his first Federal Certificate of Proficiency and launched directly into his second one as a wine merchant, which he successfully completed in 2021.
Out of a thirst for knowledge and an unconditional passion for the great wines of Bordeaux, he entrusted the production of the 2021 vintage to Sébastien from Domaine Dussex in order to seize the incredible opportunity to work at Château Léoville Las Cases (Saint-Julien) for 3 months.
Clément currently cellars 5 hectares out of the 8 from his parents’ vineyard. The plots are located between Saillon and Leytron in Valais, in the Swiss Rhone Valley. Based on his beliefs and a love of nature, Luisier Vin has been converting to certified organic production since the beginning of 2021. There is an omnipresent biodiversity at the heart of these plots, hedges of trees and bushes, as well as nesting boxes for birds installed by Célestin, his big brother, who is an ornithologist.
