Domaines Chevaliers - Salquenen

About the winery

In 1936 Oswald Mathier-Küchler founded "Vins des Chevaliers" on the fertile banks of the Rhône in Salgesch, surrounded by imposing alpine scenery. The winery was renamed "Domaines Chevaliers" in 2017.

To this day, the winery’s approach to producing top-quality Valais wines is still hallmarked by its dynamism, ideas, entrepreneurial spirit and, above all, its passion for wine.

The current team manages this prestigious estate with a renewed spirit and an awareness of their distinguished heritage: a wine from the Vins des Chevaliers range –the legendary Dôle des Chevaliers – once flew around the world with Swissair.

Today the estate produces the Vins des Chevaliers, Sherpa Wines and Lux Vina ranges, and represents more than 80 years of Valais winemaking tradition.
