Chai du Baron - Bramois
About the winery
Chai du Baron stands next to the old stone bridge in the village of Bramois. The magnificent 17th century structure is a privileged setting, rich in history and tradition, and benefits from all the facilities required to produce outstanding wines.
The winery’s grapes are harvested from 15 hectares of vines, cultivated with passion and respect. Situated exclusively on the sunny terraces of central Valais, the estate stretches across prestigious terroirs including Clavau, Molignon and Uvrier.
In 2015, Patrice Walpen took the reins of Chai du Baron. As a native of the area, Patrice has put the winemaking experience he obtained in Switzerland and South Africa into practice with originality and enthusiasm. Chai du Baron offers a full range of traditional wines, as well as a number of the specialities for which Valais is renowned.
