Castel de Daval

About Castel de Daval

The ancient water tower, the Castle of Daval was built in 1949 to stock water to irrigate the vineyards. The castle was built on a big rock on the top of the hill. In 1970, the castle was transformed into a family house.

Then in 2006 it was transformed into a Bed and Breakfast which was the first to offer wine tourism activities in Valais. Everything was done to preserve the ancient architecture and the local environment. The actual Castle offers 5 luxury rooms with bathroom. Outdoor areas are especially well maintained to offer to our customers the chance to appreciate the nature of our area.

The Castel de Daval brings all the products of the Colline de Daval together at the same place. A truly great experience to try some wines, spend a night in a castle surrounded by vineyards and the next day enjoy a breakfast buffet full of local products.

In 2019, the Castel de Daval won the prize of the Best Wine Tourism Project in the category Architecture and Landscape.
