Valentina Andrei - Saillon

About the winery

Valentina Andrei works her vines with love, in the most respectful and natural way possible. Listening to each of these vines, she speaks to them and supports them as much as possible.

Whether it is tillage, selecting plants and flowers that live there, pruning, bending of sticks, disbudding, trellising, leaf stripping, balancing of bunches, shearing or harvesting, she gets involved with her own hands, with a great deal of authenticity and loyalty. All this is enhanced with herbal teas, essential oils, silica, and observing the lunar calendar, but with no dogmatism.

During the harvest, Valentina does not hesitate to do a strict sorting to keep only the best grapes. In the cellar, as in the vineyard, she works attentively and listens. She tastes her wines every day, to enhance and mature them, avoiding unnecessary intervention.

Valentina now works four hectares. Her favourite grape varieties are Chasselas, Arvine, Païen, Roussanne, Gamay, Humagne, Cornalin and Syrah. She is happy to welcome you for a tasting and share her passion.
