About the winery
Nouveau St-Clément, C. Lamon & Cie SA is a family business, founded in 1975 by the Lamon brothers. The objective that was set back then, namely the production of high quality wine, still prevails in full today.
The management of the company is currently provided by Christian Lamon, son of one of the founders, supported by Carlo Ferruglio for winemaking and by Pedro Silva Gomes for the vineyard element.
The vineyard, which faces due south on the first slopes of the right bank of the Rhône, consists mainly of terraced plots and stretches from St-Léonard to Sierre. No fewer than 13 grape varieties, including 6 indigenous ones, are grown on the 7.5 hectares farmed. The stony soils and dry stone walls combine to guarantee the production of quality grapes in an exceptional, warm environment.
