Laurent Hug - Champlan

About the winery

Fortified by years of experience since 1981, Laurent Hug continues to produce wines with the same enjoyment.

The estate is located close to its winery on the sunny hillside of Sion. Its terraces are buttressed by the drystone walls that are typical of Valais’ vineyards. This heritage, as well as the traditional bisse irrigation canals, is maintained year on year to protect the vines and preserve the landscape.

The favourable climate encourages the diversification of grape varieties, planted according to the specific characteristics of the soil, whether it be clay-rich limestone or schist.

The vineyard is cultivated in harmony with its natural environment. This respect for the environment’s rich natural assets crystallises into a daily routine that produces wines of exceptional quality while still maintaining the region’s biodiversity.
