L'Or du Vent - Miège

About the winery

L’Or du Vent cellar is a 4-hectare family business, located in the middle of the Valais Alps.

The constant, almost obsessive concern of its owners, Bernard and Christine Mermoud, is to produce very high quality wines. To achieve their goal, they benefit from an extremely sunny region on the hillside of Sierre in a predominantly wine-growing village, which is best known for its famous residents such as Maurice Chappaz, C.C. Olsommer, Gérard de Palézieux, and in particular, Rainer Maria Rilke. These personalities of painting and literature discovered long ago that the village of Veyras benefits from fantastic light and a climate that is ideal for the cultivation of the magnificent grape varieties produced in Valais.

In the heart of Valais, on the right bank of the Rhone, L’Or du Vent cellar offers you 11 different grape varieties, which are the basis of 16 appellations.
