About the winery
Through meticulous manual work, Beny Kuonen has been producing much-loved, fine Valais wines since 1997 at his Sunnustrahl winery in Varen.
In the new winery building constructed in 2014, around 30,000 litres of wine are lovingly vinified and bottled every year with red wine making up around two thirds of the production, while the remaining third is white.
The grapes grow and mature on the sunny hillsides of the warm Rhône Valley.
Alice and Beny Kuonen-Niederberger take great pleasure in running their Sunnustrahl winery with impressive skill.
