About the winery
Domaine des Crêtes is a wine estate founded in 1950 by Joseph Vocat, whose family carries on the tradition. The wine estate has expanded over the years to become an area of 30 hectares.
Located in the heart of Valais, in Noës/Sierre, the vineyard was quite naturally named Domaine des Crêtes because it includes five hills: La Grande Crête, La Crête à Feu, La Crête des Chevey, La Crête du Pont and La Crête à Raby.
After studying the richness and particular features of these clay-limestone soils, each of these ridges was assigned the cultivation of the most appropriate grape variety. This unique terroir, combined with the Sierre micro-climate, ensures the specificity, originality and authenticity of the wines produced, aged and bottled at Domaine des Crêtes by Yves, Pierre and Martine Vocat, all three of whom are oenologist-engineers.
