Clément Gay - Charrat

About the winery

Clément Gay obtained his Federal Certificate of Proficiency in arboriculture and viticulture in 2006. As a winegrower, he respects the grape varieties and tends his wines without the use of synthetic products. The first three vintages were produced entirely by him, from the vine to bottling.

He finds this work enriching and exciting, but trying to do everything in the process does not guarantee consistent, good-quality results in the long term. It is for this reason that he decided to entrust the entire winemaking process to his friend, Julien Fournier for the 2018 vintage. In this way, he can devote himself completely to the cultivation of his nine hectares of vines and produce a quality harvest.

Originally from Charrat, Clément loves this village located on the left bank of the Rhone where you can watch the sun setting. He likes to showcase this terroir by cultivating Pinot, Gamay, Diolinoir as well as Païen. To complete the range of his products, he works vines in more than 8 municipalities to obtain the best from each terroir.
