Terbiner Weinkeller - Visperterminen

About the winery

Over 40 years ago, Engelbert Stoffel founded the Terbiner winery in Visperterminen. With his wife Julia and their children René and Josianne, they cultivated about seven hectares of vines. They would also buy grapes from other producers. In addition to the world-famous Heida variety, the selection included four other white wines (Johannisberg, Fendant, Muscat and Resi-Rèze) and three red wines (Pinot Noir, Dôle and Œil-de-perdrix).

For the past few years, they have only made around 2,000 litres of Heida a year. Every two years, they also produce a sparkling wine. The range of wines has drastically reduced since Engelbert and Julia stopped the intensive work of winegrowing and cellaring as a full-time profession. To ensure that the famous Heida can still be enjoyed by their loyal customers, René decided to continue cellaring and vinifying this grape variety.
