Cave de Montorge - Sion
About the winery
In 1944, the three brothers, René-Pierre, Benjamin and Charly went into winemaking in Sion and created the company "Les fils de Charles Favre".
In 1960, René Pierre's wife, Hanny took over the reins of the company, becoming Switzerland's first female oenologist. She quickly became known as the Dame de Sion.
Today, the winery on Montorge hill continues to enthusiastically perpetuate the legacy left behind. They cultivate and vinify their grapes with the aim of offering excellent wines.
Members of the Favre family (Frédéric and Samuel, Jean-Pierre's nephews) still work in the winery and see the passion that today's team puts into honoring this legacy.
