Marie-Thérèse Chappaz - Fully
About the winery
Marie-Thérèse Chappaz’s estate covers 10 hectares distributed across four villages: Fully, Charrat, Leytron and Chamoson. Fully is located at the bend of the Rhone. With more than 2,000 hours of sunshine and 600mm of rain per year and granite soil sometimes covered with loess, the village of Fully benefits from very specific climatic and geological conditions.
The exceptional location, combined with the diversity of native grape varieties, such as Petite Arvine, Humagne Rouge or Cornalin, and others such as Syrah and Marsanne, which are well suited to this upper Rhone valley, create idyllic conditions for the production of unique wines.
Marie-Thérèse’s biodynamic approach brings out this originality to produce wines that are regularly noticed by specialist journalists and great chefs.
In 2016, the Gault&Millau guide awarded Marie-Thérèse Chappaz the title "Icône du vin suisse".
In 2022, a sweet white wine from Marie-Thérèse Chappaz, Grain par Grain Petite Arvine Domaine des Claives, scored 100 points on the Robert Parker scale. A first for a Swiss wine!
