About the winery
Marie de Diolly: the story of two brothers united by their passion and heritage! Marie de Diolly is first and foremost the story of Cyril and Boris Héritier, two brothers who decided to pay tribute to their great-grandmother by making authentic, environmentally-friendly wines. Marie de Diolly was an exceptional woman, one of the first to take on the role of wine merchant in Valais. She advocated winemaking that was as natural as possible, as well as conviviality and a warm welcome.
Guided by this philosophy, Cyril and Boris cultivate their vines and make their wines with the greatest respect for the terroir. Trained as urban planners and economists, they returned to the land in 2023. The adventure begins at Clos de la Follie, a plot with an evocative name for such a project.
Cornalin, Gamay, Petite Arvine and Marsanne are produced on the 17 terraces of the Clos overlooking the town of Sion. Clos de la Follie is also the winery's main reception point, a unique place where the links between vines, wine and people are strengthened.
