About the winery

Caroline’s connection with Valais was forged over more than a decade, at the crossroads of her family history and her passions. Swiss by nationality through her paternal grandfather, with family roots in the Aosta Valley, life gradually led her towards these alpine lands — not by chance, but by an inner sense of inevitability.

It was first through the mountains that this bond took shape. Long days out, in summer and in winter alike. Steep, untamed paths. An energy that became a necessity. A resonance that would later nourish her vision of the vineyard and of wine.

At the same time, a decisive encounter marked her journey: that of Petite Arvine, a grape variety she discovered twenty-five years ago while working alongside her mentor, Denis Dubourdieu. Convinced of the exceptional potential of this grape, which he regarded as one of the greatest white varieties in the world, Denis Dubourdieu profoundly shaped her perspective.

Following her passions and her roots, and guided by pivotal encounters, Caroline settled in Valais. She began in 2016 with just a few parcels — a first step that would only confirm her intuition: she had found her place here.

In a demanding and inspiring approach to viticulture, where every gesture matters, where nature reigns supreme and time retains its true meaning, Caroline recognises herself in wines that carry identity and purpose.

In the spring of 2025, Caroline takes over the Benoît Dorsaz winery, marking her tenth harvest in the region. This new chapter represents the culmination of a path embarked upon more than ten years ago — one that many had already seen taking shape.

Upon his retirement, Benoît Dorsaz wished to entrust his estate to a winemaker who shared his philosophy and values, so that the spirit of the vineyard might endure with the same integrity and commitment.

The estate bears the legacy of four generations of the Dorsaz family, who have, over time, shaped an exceptional viticultural heritage, recognised for its precision, authenticity and deep respect for nature.

The production of this six-hectare estate, set on small mountain terraces, remains deliberately limited, allowing each parcel to express the true character and purity of its alpine terroir.
