Marathon of Flavours

Saturday, 19th October 2024

The Marathon of Flavours is a sporting journey to discover the Valais wine region, during which sporty gourmets discover the special features, curiosities and delicacies of the region.

Two wines and a regional dish are available at each of the five gourmet stops.

Route

> East from Sion to Salgesch (23km and 650m altitude difference)

> West from Sion to Chamoson (21.5km and 850m altitude difference)

Each route passes through the enchanting vineyards of Valais along the legendary “Vineyard Trail” and they are not overly difficult. They will take an athletic gourmet around 8 to 9 hours, including the five tasting stages. There is no timekeeping but there is a finishing deadline.
